with Healite II LED Therapy is the therapeutic use of light to photo-modulate cellular function to improve and quicken wound healing, treat acne, rejuvenate the appearance of skin, stimulate hair growth, improve local circulation, perform 5-ALA photodynamic therapy (PDT), and relieve pain and stiffness in muscles and joints. The light is applied gently over the skin with no contact, and the skin is illuminated for a period of 11-22 minutes. This allows absorption of photons (light particles) into the target cellular components, resulting in a photochemically-induced cascade leading to the production of new cellular energy. The response of the inflammatory-stage cells is enhanced, and small proteins are released which support the growth, survival and differentiation of new cells. A growing body of clinical evidence is showing that applying 830nm LED as soon as possible after procedures or trauma successfully speeds up wound healing, shortens recovery, and ultimately reduces patient downtime.
What kinds of conditions are suitable for LED phototherapy treatment?
830nm – Near Infrared Therapy Any condition which would benefit from the reduction of acute inflammation will benefit from LED phototherapy at 830nm. We treat the following conditions with LED phototherapy: redness/rosacea/sensitivity; inflamed acne; freshly peeled or resurfaced skin; fresh wounds; burns; grazed/traumatised skin; cuts and abrasions; skin which has just undergone cosmetic injections; bruising and swelling. It is for this reason that our surgical partners at Queensland Plastic Surgery require all patients undergoing facial surgery to receive LED phototherapy.
633nm – Red Light Therapy Red light therapy is thought to boost collagen within the skin, leading to a superficially smoother appearance.
415nm – Blue Light Therapy 415 is the shortest and hence most superficial wavelength used in LED phototherapy. It is antibacterial and is used in the treatment of acne.
It does not produce any harmful UVA/UVB rays
Healite II LED Therapy is a safe, painless and non-invasive cosmetic procedure requiring no recovery time. It is used for rejuvenating skin, reducing the appearance of the visible signs of ageing, firming and toning, collagen stimulation, treating of acne and problematic skin. In addition, LED Light Therapy is an incredibly relaxing treatment to receive!
