Lesion Removal
Lesion Removal Treatment
Benign lesions are usually harmless (though some types of lesions can be referred to as “precancerous” due to their tissue composition) but often cosmetically unsightly, and can cause embarrassment. The option for excision (removal via a minor surgical procedure, done under local anaesthetic in our rooms) is always available, but laser removal is often the preferred choice because the remaining scar is small, or nearly invisible. In addition, laser removal of benign lesions is quick, and several lesions can be removed in one session.
The following common lesions can be successfully treated with laser:
Lentigines (“liver spots”)
Seborrheic keratosis
Solar/actinic keratosis
Certain types of naevi
Sebaceous hyperplasia
Acrochordons (skin tags)
Some epidermal cysts
Papules
Please note; a medical consult is required before booking for any treatment to lesions.
