CONSULTS
15 – 60 mins
Indicated for skin health and aesthetic concerns. Consults cover cosmetic concerns though to skin cancer diagnosis and management. Consults are required before any procedure can be booked.
DOT Therapy is ideal for the removal of skin lesions, to treat sun damage, pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, textural changes and acne scars. The DOT Therapy laser precisely creates thousands of microscopic holes (DOTs) in your skin, which induce immediate skin tightening and stimulate new collagen growth. In most cases, a topical or local anaesthetic will be used to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.
PDT – REJUVENATION
PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) is a non surgical, non-invasive treatment for sun damage and some superficial skin cancers. A topical product is applied to the treatment area and selectively absorbed by the damaged cells. A light source is later applied, activating the ingredient within those cells. This causes damage only to the abnormal tissue. Expected healing time for PDT is generally 3-7 days.
PDT – ACNE
Photodynamic therapy is an advanced solution for acne which is recalcitrant to other treatments. A topical product is applied to the treatment area and selectively absorbed by inflamed skin and sebaceous glands. A light source is later applied, which activates the ingredient within those cells, and helps to kill acne-causing bacteria. This significantly reduces inflammatory acne lesions. Expected healing time for PDT for acne varies between individuals, but can be up to 2 weeks.
PRESCRIPTION PEELS
Specific preparation and aftercare must be strictly adhered to in order to ensure a safe and effective outcome. Some skin conditions warrant a deeper level of resurfacing and therefore stronger chemical peeling agents are needed to achieve the desired effect. Physician-only peel treatments can elicit a more aggressive skin response, which can often lead to faster results. Downtime for prescription peels can be up to 10 days.
